What would you do with a million dollars?

I’ve officially reached that point in my week off where I forgot what day it is, which explains why I’m writing this Thursday evening.

If you’ve ever seen the movie Office Space, there’s the scene where they’re discussing what they’d do if they won a million dollars. The neighbor Lawrence answers without a second thought in his mind, “two chicks at the same time”. Lawrence then asks Peter the same question, in which Peter answers, “nothing.” That’s been my week.

Outside of getting out for a few walks around town, I’ve done next to nothing. I saw an old friend for breakfast a couple of days ago, fulfilling my conversation quota for the week. Otherwise, I’ve been very content just existing over here for most of the last six days. That’s all to say I got to the point where I totally forgot today was Thursday. There’s a lot of peace within that state of being, if I’m being honest.

One of my walks this week took me from Omaha’s Memorial Park down through Elmwood Park to the south. This is definitely one of my favorite areas of the city, as it’s lined with walking and biking paths throughout, even along the main roads here.

Songs in the Chaos

This is my weekly list of songs that either caught my attention or came to mind this past week. I post these throughout the week on a site called Crucial Tracks, where they’re also added to a playlist on Apple Music. Feel free to follow me on either space.
